Boston Weddings - just released and Taryn's Belle Mer Island House wedding was featured from this summer
NE Gala Weddings - just released with Ellen's Blithewold wedding from this past summer , along with lots of great featured solo shots!
SNEW Magazine - launches December 8th and will have plenty to enjoy in it!
The Bride & Bloom Magazine - Launches in the next month or so featuring Katie's Towers wedding from last September...

..and there will be many more so keep on the lookout! I'll post snippets from each as they release so that you can get a sneak peak too!

Ever watch Lifetime Channel and catch an episode of Get Married TV?!

Well come early 2009 keep an eye out as we were recently interviewed in NYC by Get Married TV for episodes looking to air later this winter. How cool! We'll keep you ladies posted on when to watch but it was a fantastic experience... minus the headaches of what the heck to wear and who to pick as one of my "all time favorite wedding?!?!" That's right we were interviewed on the topics of "Must Have Pictures" that I would recommend to couples scouting out wedding photographers.. in which I shared 5 areas to focus on and styles of imagery that I'm personally drawn to during weddings, which make for captivating "Must Have" shots! Then for a 2nd segment we were asked to share one of my all time favorite weddings - which was so hard to narrow down!!! There have been so many of you over the years but I had to pick one.. and only one for which they'll be sharing images of on the TV show as I walk viewers through what made this particular event so memorable and a pure dream to photograph! The couple who's wedding I selected know who they are and I'm thrilled that their wedding images will be shared Nationally on Lifetime Network for other brides to draw inspiration from. We'll keep that a secret a while longer though as they'll be popping up on this blog in the coming weeks as their wedding was just a month ago.. so stay tuned!

Rita one of our FAB August Brides sent me an email recently telling me about these sweet little books she found online BLURB books.. much like the KOLO Digital ALbums I've posted about before they are digitally printed and you upload all your fun pics and make a layout - which in turn they publish into a bound book as a great holiday gift! The the holidays creeping up on us and the deadlines past for Queensberry Albums to be made I thought I'd share what she had found! Not to mention the really fun point is that Blurb loved Rita's book layout so much they requested that they be bale to use it for their trade-shows and marketing purposes! Sweet! Wow was it a rough September for Block Island weddings! We had 3 fabulous couples getting married on Block Island in September and each one had weather to share stories of. Bridget & Bryan may not have had great weather but in the midst of hurricane winds, the ferry being shut down trapping us all, the Coast Guard threatening to break down their tent and forcing the wedding to be bumped up several hours...FYI the tent was flooded too, and everything else around them moving high speed.. Bridget and Bryan were calm, relaxed and just full of smiles... HOW INCREDIBLE! They took it all in, went with the flow/floods LOL, and just enjoyed every minute of the day....if only EVERY bride could be as calm as Bridget in such a situation - Bridget - YOU'RE A KEEPER FOR SURE!

So by bumping the wedding up several hours we were able to take advantage of the sun and had a fantastic time!

You'd hardly ever even know that one month prior Jim was in an awful motorcycle accident in Boston.. but with a smile and a snazzy set of black braces he pulled off the flawless day as the perfect groom - Congratulations Edna and Jim on an incredible day and new beginning TOGETHER!!!

Casey & Jamie LUCKED out when they discovered this hidden GEM in Newport - which will remain "nameless" as it was part of the deal - I can't disclose the name or an actual picture of the outside either - so cool! Besides having this cool "oh so secretive and elite" venue to hide.. the wedding was a blast! Completely Casey & Jamie!!! Fun details.. just their expressions were priceless all day .. Jamie is so sweet on Casey and it was so much fun watching his glances at her all day :) Check it out though! - oh and if you email me to ask me where it was ... I still can't tell you :)

..though I know I'll still get those emails LOL

ohhh and one more tid-bit Jamie found this incredible company in NYC that makes custom ties!!! How cool!! ohhhh and the cake... Casey I have to show pics of the cake!! Jamie was "somewhat" responsible for the cake... you'll get a chuckle when you see it, Casey looked a wee bit in shock when she saw what was perched on top - but it really was UNIQUE.. and kinda funny!!

Glamour, Elegance...+ Morgan and Michael = FUN! Aimee - YOU'RE MARRIED!! All morning on June 1st Aimee kept exclaiming " I'm GETTING MARRIED!" .. and the energy she had that morning kept she and Michael giggling and bouncing around all day! Aimee had a really fun and unusual theme to the wedding too - though very appropriate for the year...being that it's and Election Year! A mix of Republican and Democrat details, argyle and tones of pink and green were carried throughout all the decor and designs..so fitting seeing as both bride & groom are in politics-though on opposite sides! Even the Photobooth came in handy as a "Voting Booth"!

Smith-Appleby House was a gem in the woods of RI...barns, a stream & pond, bridges and rustic backdrops, which made for the ultimate setting for Tara and Matthew's "handmade" wedding. Tea lights in jam jars were strung from the tent, luminaries lined the stonewalls and steps, hand-painted wedding to show the way.. and one of the sweetest couples! I may go a bit crazy here with pictures as I had such a blast!

Kristen & Matt had such a CHIC style for their wedding.. and her mother Joyce connected the style and decor with every last detail she found. So we had a first with Paula and James, the bus broke down on the way to the reception - but I have to say that Paula couldn't have handled it ANY BETTER! She was smiling, trying to thumb a ride from jamestown and just went with the flow. They are a SWEET couple.. and Paula is full of energy.. I think she was on the dance floor all night! Aside from the travel the day was incredible- perfect weather and Regatta Place was the perfect place to party through the evening!

KOLO Album company launched a new digital album line that ROCKS! It's basically "do it yourself" by you upload the files online, place the images into a layout, and then they create it and ship it right to you! I was thrilled when I was approached a few months back by the designers at KOLO asking to use one of our weddings as a demo SAMPLE ALBUM! So exciting! More exciting was that they selected Deb & Marcus from last summer as the event to feature! In the back they even gave me a little BIO blurb which was very cool. Check it out!

IT'S THAT TIME LADIES!!!!!!

Semia & Matt - what can I say, we love you both and were THRILLED beyond words to be part of your day :) I do seriously believe I was more nervous then Semia though as I watched one of my dearest friends get all dolled up - it felt surreal to me...Semia in a wedding dress - looking SO SO Glamourous! It was meant to be - the couple.. and the day. Semia may have had to wait "forever" for her bling bling .. but she and Matt and been together since High School.. THANK GOD MATT FINALLY ASKED - it was killing us :) Thank you Matt - for making "blondie" your wife!


..now about the wedding.... words can't even explain the enchanted feel. Semia looked beyond gorgeous in her Monique Lhuillier gown - a blushing bride her her blush gown! Of course the flowers were all insane - trees on tables, tables made out of trees and moss, the swanky lounge.. it all screamed Semia.. and OF COURSE so did the bouqet!

Blues & pinks, tan suits - orchids in the hair... Lindsay had designed herself a tropical day on Narragansett Beach. Lindsay and Mario are one of the COOLEST couples of the year, with their antique Aqua Chevy and stylish attire, and win as one of the cutest families with little Mario... running down the beach in his Cow suit! LOVE THEM!

'Tis the season for weddings and engagement sessions!!!

Nicole and Danny live up on the North Shore so we headed up to Newburyport this past saturday to play! We ran around downtown, the beach, the airport.. what fun! Danny took Nicole on their first date and surprised her by flying her to dinner in Maine!! He's a keeper! I'm REALLY looking forward to their Block Island wedding this fall!

So we've survived another season of Bridal runways and the images are all off at The Bride & Bloom Magazine for the next 2 issues layouts.. but I wanted to post some sneak peaks of shows! I'll post a few pics from various designers so you can get a feel for the seasons trends!

Tania & Loc were GREAT! We got a late start and were thoroughly exhausted in the end but enjoyed the company, rides and cotton candy along the way! We raced across NYC to play at Coney Island (mind you I'm afraid of heights and get car sick all the time - and still rode the Ferris wheel and spinning carts! - Have you ever been on a Ferris Wheel that has moving cars? These were no stationary cars - they moved "oh %#@!!" ) got to the The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens but just as they closed, and hiked around "Dumbo" trying to find the stairs to the Brooklyn Bridge.. and ended the day with a "not as scary as I thought" subway ride back to Brooklyn to crash.

We're back from Market Week NYC and had a blast - though exhausting! We shot non-stop and covered it all though still had a bit of time to catch up with friends.

1. Heads up!! On upcoming dates the Studio will be closed : April 11-20th As we'll be in NYC shooting the FALL 2008 BRIDAL MARKET shows, for The Bride and Bloom Magazine , as well as a few extra shoots that weekend. If you need me desperately (think about this long and hard - is it life and death?? do you really want to be that call that makes my phone ring during a runway show?? LOL ) Seriously, if you need me I'll have email & cell phone as always just be patient as it may take me longer to get back to you.

2. For couples looking to schedule your Engagement Sessions as the weather warms up - please email a few months ahead as we're already booked up on weekends through Mid-July. Mid-week sessions are always available so just shout when you'd like to start kicking around dates for those sessions. I still have a few random weekend dates here and there through the late summer and fall - just plan ahead before they're no longer available.

3. Last note!! As many of you have been asking for information on "boudoir photo sessions" this is a popular request and seeing as I like to do everything a bit more "funky" we do have one of the hottest backdrops and locations on reserve to shoot at [top secret - inquire for details] - so if interested let me know. Many times these sessions are done with groups so that ladies can share make-up and hair stylists to get the ultimate experience - all things I can help you set up. Just let me know if you're interested as we'll be trying to arrange one or two sessions this spring for anyone who'd like to participate.

It was the week of parties at Studio Pear last week! Saturday night there was a private event "Pat Costello's 30th party" following up Bride's Night last Wednesday.... but Saturday was THE NIGHT with Sex in the City style! Not a typical post but just wanted to show off some fun ideas and how perfect our space if for parties - who knew! .. Not to mention how creative Laura Goforth is from MORINS!!! (can you tell she did all the planning!!!)



I need to mention too that Tony Ormonde was THE MAN last week lighting both my party and Laura's.. the place was on fire with color! Not only that Laura had hired dueling baby grand piano's for the night - it was incredible all around!

As the Studio is slowly transitioning into party central for Wednesday nights festivities.. I'm going to be closing the studio for all consultations, shoots and scheduling until Monday March 17th when all systems are back up and running. What will I do without my computers!!?!!

Many of you know me well enough to know I can't be without my email, so the LapTop will be coming out & the I-phone be on me so you can still find me! Hope to see you all at the party!!

Tony Ormonde (Ormonde Productions ) was here all day today setting up lighting and transforming the space.. so we're getting excited!
*If ever asked what's something I would suggest couples doing with their events... LIGHTING!!! It's just another way to transform it, make it your own, make it unique, make you and your guests look incredible in pictures...so nudge nudge, wink wink.. go for it!!! I'll post pics from this years Party next week!

Well it was cold..far too cold but the three of us braved the chilly temps and were able to play all around Newport! Annie works for the Newport CVB so they had twisted a sweet deal for her to get a fabulous & fun engagement session! In turn for posing as the beautiful bride-to-be she is, and Jay the perfect groom, were fitted for yuppie attire at Brooks Brothers of Newport, and allowed some great access to areas we may not have typically been able to swing! Yippee! Lets hope those Brooks Brothers white slacks weren't too dirty after our play time..what a great deal free clothes for the day!
